Guest Blogger - Fiona Whitehead

Welcome to my blog!  Can you believe its already 31st March?  Where has the time gone?  Can you believe Sale-A-Bration ends today!?!

Today I'd like to introduce a Guest Blogger, Fiona Whitehead, who is a fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator here in the UK.

A bit about Fiona:

Fiona lives in a small village in Hampshire near Andover and has been crafting for over 20 years, using Stampin' Up! products for 15, and first used Stampin' Up! when she lived in Texas!  Fiona runs two classes in Andover and Winchester, and also at home.  She has grown up kids but a demanding husband and four pets lol!  You can find more info on Fiona at her blog, Crafty Stamping.

Thanks so much, Fiona, for being todays Guest Blogger.  Take it away..!

PERFECT PAIRINGS/SERENE SILHOUETTES - BORDER SENTIMENT

I've just found this new technique and love it.  Known as Border Sentiment I think its great especially for cards which only want one layer.  I've added the butterfly just because I had it and its lovely but it would be equally nice without an embellishment.

Simple technique - just simply stamp your sentiment and draw a line with a ruler.  Mask this off then with some post it notes or masking paper and stamp away.  Simples!  But effective!  I'm going to enter this into the Less is More challenge which is asking for views outside your window - the weather here in the UK is so lovely today I actually saw a butterfly outside my window.  Shame the rain is supposed to come just in time for Easter :(  you'll find the challenge here

I'm also adding this card into the CASology challenge here where the theme is weather.

I've used the Perfect Pairings for the sentiment and Serene Silhouettes and also some of the little flowers from Birthday Blooms.  The Kindly word has been gone over with a red marker pen and, of course, a Wink of Stella just to finish it off.

All of the products used can be found in the Annual or seasonal Stampin' Up! catalogues, and can be found here.

Please do use the reward code to get free products (reward code shown in the to right of my blog is the current one).  If your order is over £150, please do not use this code as you then qualify for Hostess Rewards.  And remember, during Sale-a-Bration, you get to choose a free product from the Sale-a-Bration catalogue for every £45 you spend!

Or, until 31st March, you can join my team and get even more!  Whether you're looking for a new career, a part time job to earn some extra money, or just want to buy Stampin' Up! products at a discounted price, I'd love to have you on my team.  You can join for just £99, and as well as all of the business stationery needed to get you off to a flying start, you will also get up to £160 of Stampin' Up! products of your choice (returning to £130 as of 1st April).
